About

Hi, I’m Olufemi.

I’m Olufemi Ayomide, a graphic designer and the person behind The Design Alchemist.

For the past 4 years, I’ve been turning ideas, stories and business goals into visual experiences, from brand identities and illustrations to packaging, social, product and email. I also handle social media management, so the feed stays consistent after the graphics are made. I blend strategy with creativity so the work doesn’t just look good; it stays consistent, builds trust, and gives people something they can actually act on.

I enjoy taking something that exists as an idea in someone’s head and giving it a visual language people can see and connect with. Detail-driven, adaptable, and used to sitting with existing teams. If you need a designer who can plug in and keep things moving, that’s me.

How I work

Think of me as your
design person.

You don’t always need another full-time hire. Sometimes you just need someone who understands the brief, gets the work done and is available when design needs to happen. Here’s how that usually goes.

  1. 01

    You bring the need

A new campaign, social content, a feed that needs running, packaging, illustration, brand asset, or something you haven’t quite figured out yet.

  2. 02

    We figure it out

I ask the right questions, understand the goal and translate your ideas into a clear design direction.

  3. 03

    I handle the work

I take it off your plate: the design, and the social calendar if you need it, and turn the direction into work you can actually use.

  4. 04

    You keep moving

You get reliable design support without needing to manage another full-time employee.

What I can help with

What can I take
off your plate?

Packaging that looks as good as the product inside.

Attractive, functional packaging that communicates your product’s value.

Let’s talk
06

Visually appealing, user-focused digital product interfaces that balance form and function.

Where the work sings

Where I do my best work

I can step in across the board. These two are where I go deepest, and where the work below starts doing the talking.

Brand Identity

Building visual identities that give brands a clear personality, direction and presence, so everything they make afterwards already knows who it is.

Selected work

A few things I’ve
brought to life.

Every project starts with what the brand is trying to say, then the visual language to say it.

Most of my work sits under NDA, so I can’t share it publicly on this site. What you see here is a small selection I’m able to show.

Experience

Teams I’ve already
plugged into.

The work above isn’t only one-off projects. I’ve sat inside content and marketing teams, and I’ve been the designer founders call when the brand and the feed both need to stay consistent.

  1. Mar to Sep 2026

    Lead Illustrator

    Fanatix

I led the visual identity for football content at scale, illustrating matches, players and campaign moments across a fast-moving content calendar. Every graphic was built to capture the energy of the game and the personality of the players, from matchday build-up to post-match reaction. I worked closely with the content team to turn brand storytelling into illustration that consistently drove engagement, boosted views, and gave the social presence a look fans could recognise and connect with.

  2. 2024 to Current

    Social Media Manager

    Freelance

I manage end-to-end social media presence for clients, from content planning and scheduling to day-to-day posting and community engagement. I develop content calendars aligned with each client’s goals, keeping a consistent posting cadence across platforms. I monitor engagement and audience response, then adjust the strategy and content mix so growth and interaction keep moving in the right direction. I work closely with clients to keep messaging, tone and visual presence aligned with their brand, while balancing platform-specific best practices for reach.

  3. 2022 to Current

    Brand Identity Designer

    Freelance, contract-based

I design complete brand identities for clients and startups across industries: logo, colour, typography and guidelines, managed end-to-end from discovery and mood-boarding through to final assets. I work with founders and marketing teams to turn brand vision into a visual system that holds up across digital, social, packaging and print, and I leave them with a style guide they can actually keep using as they scale.

  4. 2022 to Current

    Social Media Designer

    Freelance

I design social content across carousels, static graphics, story templates and campaign visuals. I translate marketing goals into layouts that are clear, scroll-stopping and easy to read at a glance, sized and paced for Instagram, LinkedIn and other feeds. I work with clients and marketing teams to keep every post on-brand, from colour and type to tone, while driving engagement and reach.

A collaborator

Why work with me

More than a designer.
A design resource
for your team.

You’ve met me, seen how I work, and heard from people I’ve sat with. Here’s the practical reason to bring me in: design requests don’t arrive one at a time. There’s a logo to refine, a campaign to launch, social graphics to create, a feed to keep moving, an email to send and an idea that suddenly needs an illustration.

That’s where I come in. I work closely with product, marketing and media teams, keeping visuals consistent, campaigns moving, and ideas easy to understand. With 4 years across branding, illustration, packaging, social design and management, product and email, I can plug into your workflow and help keep the creative work going.

Flexible support

Design help when you need it, without a full-time hire.

Consistent visuals

Everything stays aligned with the brand, even as requests pile up.

One creative partner

Less searching for a different designer for every task. I’ve sat with teams for years, including two years as the designer for a UK-based company.

Reliable execution

Clear communication from brief to delivery.

Next step

Got a design problem?
Let’s make it disappear.

Whether you need a complete brand identity or someone to handle the design requests that keep piling up, let’s talk.
